ChordWizard Song Player is the free platform to open and download songs and access the ChordWizard Network.

It connects seamlessly to this online community of musicians, making it easy to browse the published songs and download them directly into the workspace.

You can view and play songs, and you can also print them if enabled by the publishing member.  It's easy to contact the publisher and ask permission if you want to make more than personal use of it.

You can rate and give feedback on songs you have downloaded, and through this contribution, meet other members and connect with the community.

And ChordWizard Song Player is useful even without the ChordWizard Network.

Friends and partners who have Songtrix can send you their songs or ideas, making it easier for you to work on musical projects together.

Or if you have Songtrix, you can send your songs to anyone else to play or print, simply pointing them to where they can download this free Song Player.

Playback and Printing

Song Player has flexible and attractive workspace for exploring and playing songs.  Sizing can adjusted and staff lines can be wrapped for vertical scrolling or made into a single stave for horizontal scrolling.

Playback can begin anywhere in the song, with all tracks playing together, or with just with a single track playing solo.  Chords, scales and lyrics can be included in songs as well as regular staff notation.

Song Player is ideal for practising or improvising with.  You can cycle play the whole or any part of the song, and you can mute the track whose part you want to practise.  You can add a metronome to the playback to help you keep time.

Tracks are color-coded and have many adjustable properties such as volume level, pan position, and voice.  You can also change the master volume and tempo, and you can save your updates if the publisher has enabled it.

Staff sheet and lyric sheet printing are available and can be tailored to your needs, with adjustable sizing, colors, fonts, and the ability to include or exclude tracks from your print jobs.

Platform for Publishing

The ChordWizard Song (CWS) file format is designed for convenient, expressive and secure communication of songs, styles and other musical ideas.

Produced using Songtrix Gold or Songtrix Silver, songs are rendered accurately as staff notation which can be viewed in the workspace or printed.  But they can also have playing techniques - such as sustain, slide, pitch bend and vibrato - applied to achieve a stunningly realistic performance.

Songs can be packaged to incorporate protection such as disabling of copying and printing functions; preventing editing or saving changes made to the song; locking song credits and embedding a link to your member profile on the ChordWizard Network.

These protections allow you to publish your work with confidence on the ChordWizard Network, but are effective even if you distribute your songs privately or through some other means.

The ChordWizard Song is the ideal format for music teachers to give exercises to their students; for composers to send their work to A&R agencies; and for all musicians to collaborate and share their ideas with each other.

And the free Song Player ensures that anyone can access the songs you send to them, limited only by the level of protection that you choose to apply.
